At DECJUBA, we're on a mission to become Australia's most responsible fashion retailer. Circularity and recyclability is a big part of DECJUBA Future. That's why we've partnered with leading textile recycling company, ImpacTex, so we can provide our customers with a place to purposefully recycle their denim. Every denim garment that's recycled through this program is reducing the amount of textiles being sent to landfill and decreasing greenhouse gases.
How does it work? When ImpacTex receives textiles, each item goes through a sorting process broken down by three key categories. Items fit for wear are passed on to charitable organisations. Items not fit for wear are sorted by material and colour and broken down into fibre for items like mattresses, pet beds and home insulation. Items that can be repurposed or upcycled are donated to Australian brands to create new clothing and accessories.
